Adam Kisler, 26, of Naugatuck, was charged with driving while under the influence around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday, after officers arrived on the scene of what they thought was a call for an injured pedestrian, said Sgt. Kenneth Jarrett.
Jarrett said Kisler told officers that he flipped his vehicle after trying to back up on Prospect Street and hit another vehicle.
The woman in the vehicle he slammed into received a laceration to her head and was transported to Stamford Hospital, Jarrett said.
Kisler was arrested after failing several field sobriety tests.
He was released after posting a court appearance bond.
